Effectively Remove Dirt
The smartphone is
an everyday companion. It is not only at home and at work by its user, but
also on public transport and in the bathroom. But germs and viruses lurk
here that can get onto the cell phone. It is therefore important to clean
the device regularly. When cleaning smartphones, however, there are a few
things to consider - after all, cleaning shouldn't damage the mobile phone.
Smartphone and
Hygiene: Germs and Bacteria on The Phone
But how do viruses and Co. actually end up on the display? Touch
operation is largely responsible for this. If the hands are not germ-free,
the pathogens are transmitted to the screen when the cell phone is
used. If you take the smartphone back after you have washed your hands,
you will come into contact with the germs again by tapping.
Viruses that are transmitted by droplet infection can also settle on the
display. It is not without reason that during the Corona crisis, which
brought the entire world to a standstill with the lockdown in 2020, the
recommendation was to also clean the surface of the smartphone regularly.
Also, there are leftover food and make-up, which are also a
suitable breeding ground for bacteria. Of course, these are not always
harmful to health. Nevertheless, it is advisable to clean the smartphone
regularly so that the device does not become a proverbial spinner. The
efficient cleaning of your smartphone display is essential for
this purpose. It is often sufficient to wipe the surface with a microfiber
cloth.
Cleaning Your
Smartphone: Effectively Remove Dirt in 2 Steps
Although some modern smartphone models are already waterproof, many devices can be damaged if they come into contact with
liquids. It is therefore advisable to work with little
moisture when cleaning your smartphone. To be on the safe side,
you should also always switch off the device when cleaning. To prevent
scratches, first, remove any visible dirt such as leftovers or grains of
sand. If you do not do this, this dirt will damage the display when you
clean it with a microfiber cloth.
Remove Light Dirt Residues
If you only want to remove fingerprints or light dirt residues, it is
usually sufficient to use a dry microfiber cloth. Alternatively, a cloth
can also be used, which is actually intended for cleaning glasses. Move
the fabric over the screen in small circular movements - it will shine in a new
shine.

Helpful Utensils
for Cleaning Your Smartphone
As an alternative, numerous products specialize in
cleaning smartphones. For example, the so-called mini display
cleaner. This is a cleaning cloth that is no larger than a postage stamp
and can be attached to the smartphone case with the adhesive side.
So you always have a practical companion with
you. To clean the smartphone, remove the mini display
cleaner from the back of the device. Now wipe the display as you would
with a microfiber cloth. After cleaning, glue the useful helper back into
place.
There are also numerous cleaning cloths and cleaning sprays on the
market that are optimized for smartphones. You can of course also use this
to make your cell phone sterile. However, these products are often quite
expensive. In comparison, cleaning with a microfiber cloth scores points.
All-Round Clean:
Clean Mobile Phone Connections
To ensure that the entire device is free of dirt, it is important not
only to focus on the display. The sockets for charging cables and
headphones are also prone to deposits. In the worst case, larger particles
can even reduce functionality at these points. When cleaning
your smartphone, make sure
that you also clean the connection sockets.
Since there is often direct contact with the electronics here, you
should not use any liquids for cleaning. For larger openings, cotton swabs
are suitable to remove dirt particles. Make sure, however, that the cotton
swabs do not lint. A toothpick fits into smaller sockets, but its pointed
end can easily lead to damage. You should therefore refrain from using a
toothpick.
Dust can often be removed by blowing hard. If this doesn't help,
you can also use a so-called cleaning compound. Crumbs and dirt stick to the
putty-like mass. Press the mass gently into the opening and then pull it
out again. Make sure not to exert too much pressure, otherwise, small
residues of the cleaning compound can get stuck.
Protect Your
Smartphone: Prevent Dirt and Scratches
The most effective method against contamination is to protect the
smartphone from it from the start. Cell phone cases not only protect the
cell phone in the event of a fall but can also prevent everyday
scratches. Product variants that can be folded up and whose cover also
extends over the display are particularly effective.
If you are out and about a lot in the open air, it makes sense to use a
mobile phone case that protects the smartphone from heat and cold. There
are even models that minimize cell phone radiation. An
additional protective film is also advisable for the sensitive
screen. There are, for example, special screen protectors that have an
antibacterial effect. But normal protective films are also suitable to
protect the display from scratches and dirt.
There are also so-called dust protection plugs. These can be
inserted into the openings of the smartphone. Dust and crumbs have no
chance of penetrating the device. Make sure that the plugs are either
integrated directly into the smartphone case or have a separate holder. If
you want to charge your mobile phone or listen to music on the go, the small dust
protection plugs are easily lost.
Cleaning Your
Smartphone: A Hygienic Mobile Phone in Just a Few Steps
It doesn't take a lot of effort to get rid of pollution and viruses on
your cell phone. A simple microfiber cloth is enough for everyday
cleaning. In the case of more stubborn dirt, the cloth is simply moistened
with water or cleaning agents specially approved for smartphone displays to
achieve maximum cleanliness.
Make sure that your smartphone never comes into contact with too much liquid - otherwise, damage cannot be ruled out. To avoid scratches and dirt, it also makes sense to protect the cell phone with a smartphone case. Also, you should install total security to prevent malware and virus.
